Have you ever thought of training with a friend? If not, you should!
Summer is almost here guys, and you'll be wanting to head to a beach soon (or Spinnigfields :D) And being Summer, this is the time of year that you may be embarking on a new diet plan or exercise program. While some of us may be able to maintain our good intentions without help, most of us could benefit greatly from a training partner. There are many benefits to having someone to exercise with and with whom you can discuss your weight loss and fitness progress. I know this personally from having trained alone and also from having a training partner. I always saw much greater results from having someone to work alongside and push me.
Over the years, statistics have shown that individuals that exercise with a partner are up to 40% more likely to reach their personal fitness goals.
There are many benefits of training with someone such as:
being more likely to turn up for a session if your friend is relying on you to turn up
being motivated by your partner to train even harder
having someone to confide in about any worries relating to your goals and your training schedule
more enjoyable, fun workouts that seem to go faster because you are with a friend
having friendly competition from your training partner will make you want to push yourself to your absolute limit.
